Ayurvedic Yoga Massage

Deep Tissue Massage & Assisted Stretching

Treatments Available on Request.

Performed on the floor, an Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is a unique therapy that combines deep tissue massage techniques with assisted yoga stretches. Ayurvedic herbs and oils are massaged into your body, after which your body is then gently and safely stretched in co-ordination with deep breathing. Each therapy session is therefore both a relaxing massage and also an invigorating yoga session which relaxes, realigns, and  soothes your body, which benefits both your body and soul.

About Ayurvedic Yoga Massage

Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is a modern style of massage that was developed in India, by Kusum Modak. She combined traditional Ayurvedic Massage techniques with her knowledge yoga postures and breathwork to create a modern holistic therapy that works to balance and restore your physical, mental and emotional energies.

There are a variety of different techniques that I can choose from when creating a treatment. This means that within the framework of a whole body treatment, I am able to alter the treatment to suit your own personal needs or focus on a specific area of your body.

Your treatment.

All treatments are all 80 -90 minutes full body. They work holistically to re balance and restore the energies of your body and are best suited to those who are healthy and looking to deepen the connection between mind and body by stretching, relaxing, and releasing stored physical and emotional tensions.

The unique deep tissue and physical manipulation techniques that I employ are aimed at relaxing and releasing tension from your muscles, bringing your body into correct physical alignment, improving your flexibility, and giving you complete physical and mental relaxation.

The session will be performed on a massage mat on the floor which allows free movement and flow. Sometimes walking techniques are included in the massage, however you will always be asked whether you are happy for this to be a part of your treatment or not.

I use pure Sesame oil, but if you are allergic to Sesame an alternative will be provided. The treatment also uses powdered Calamus, an Ayurvedic herb which is massaged into the body. Calamus is valued for its ability to relax and release muscular tension and for its calming effects.

How much does it cost?
